I am a passionate Scot, proud of my national dress, with a life long love of the history of Edinburgh my home town. I am a member of the Edinburgh Tourist Guides Association.
As a guide with over seven years experience I try to amuse and educate by combining history with stories of the people and places in Edinburgh. Being born and educated here I had to leave to find work elsewhere and only when I then returned did I really start to appreciate why this city is a World Heritage Site.
Martin was an excellent ambassador for his city, he really brought Edinburgh alive for us. He had so many interesting back stories and filled our tour with history and humour. We loved every minute of it!

Having Martin lead us down the Royal Mile was worth every "pence"! Lot's of information for us to use later in the week for more in depth exploration. Also, the weather was a challenge with sunny blue skies, then blustery winds, then hard rain, then sunny blue skies again. We were prepared with the proper clothing and gear and Martin was totally creative in his use of locations for shelter and tour features. Selected Martin based on previous comments and we were 100% satisfied .
