hour walking tour of the Royal Mile. The tour starts outside Gladstone's Land, Lawnmarket. On the tour
you will be given an introduction to the history, characters and events that shaped Edinburgh's past.
Meeting point for the tour is outside Gladstone's Land, Lawnmarket.
We try to keep to a maximum of 10 people on our walking tours.

During March, April and May 2010 tour times
are 10am and 1pm.

Highlights of Old Edinburgh Walking
Tour
Come and
explore the history and mystery of Edinburgh's Old Town on our 3 hour walking tour. You might learn a little, laugh
a little or maybe even both!
The tour starts with a visit to Edinburgh Castle, home of the Stone of Destiny
and the Scottish Crown Jewels. Your Edinburgh Tour Guide will then introduce you to the Castle whilst leaving you enough
free time to explore at your leisure.
Following your visit to the Castle you will then take a gentle stroll through
the streets of the Old Town where you will hear about the characters and events that shaped Edinburgh's past.
The tour ends at the Palace of Holyroodhouse the Queen's official residence in Scotland and the Scottish Parliament.

Spend the afternoon discovering the difference 200 years
can make.
On our walking tour we meet outside Gladstone's Land, Lawnmarket.
Hear about the living conditions in Edinburgh's Old Town and then visit Gladstone's Land. Laid out as a
17th century merchants house this building brings the Old Town of Edinburgh to life.
Then we will walk from
Gladstone's Land into the Georgian New Town passing some beautiful Georgian and Victorian buildings along the way.
After a stop for refreshments we will end the tour with a visit to the Georgian House in Charlotte Square.

Edinburgh streets are old and uneven.
Please wear sensible walking shoes/boots. The Old Town is especially uneven as there are cobbles and uneven pavements,
which can become very slippery.
If you are planning
to visit Greyfriars or any of the other graveyards please remember they will possibly be muddy and definitely uneven underfoot.
